How to dive in at Divers Leap

Nowadays this dive site is a boat dive and is no longer accessible from the shore at Papagayo Beach Hotel and Resort. Apart from the steep wall, the shallow plateau is also worth a visit because seahorses are regularly spotted there near the mooring.

Descend along the wall that at places slopes very steeply to a depth of 40 meters. You’ll see large coral formations and beautiful sponges surrounded by a lush marine life including Barracudas, tarpons and sea bass.

Divers Leap, located next to Jan Thiel Beach

Set in the middle of the residential and hotel area of Jan Thiel, Jan Thiel Beach is a gem. There is not a lot of sand, but children will enjoy the calm, clear waters of the closed-in wading area.

On-site, there is Dive Center ScubaDo, a Curaçao Tourist Board approved dive center that offers superb snorkeling and diving which is just a few fin kicks from the beach.

It literally all happens at Jan Thiel Beach. Because if you are dreaming of sun, sea, shopping and entertainment then Jan Thiel Beach Curaçao is the place to be!  Whether you are relaxing with an ice cold cocktail or discovering the chefs surprise at one of the 4 unique restaurants at the beach, Jan Thiel Beach offers a diversity of culinary relaxation. Every restaurant has its own appearance, ambiance, possibilities and activities.
