Daaibooi is a beach on the Caribbean island of Curaçao, located close to the village of Sint Willibrordus, a 30 minutes drive to the north-west of Willemstad. The beach is in a secluded bay, surrounded by the overlooking cliffs of Porto Mari on the west and Coral Estates on the east.
This remote beach is the perfect starting point for a beautiful shore dive, snorkel or just a refreshing swim inside the large sandy plateau. For divers, the drop off is far from shore but worth the surface swim due to the healthy coral biodiversity that includes soft coral, Elephant Ear sponges and brain corals.
About Daaibooi and the Surroundings
Gorgeous natural surroundings with the Caribbean Sea on one side, and the saliña (an inner lake) on the other side. The saliña is part of the former salt pans, an area where you can spot flamingos in their natural habitat. They search for food here. It is a beautiful and rustic area near the town of St. Willibrord with the large church as a landmark. The resort covers almost 900 acres and has spacious lots with natural vegetation. Only 30% has been built on. The natural levels the villas are built on, make sure that almost every villa offers sea view.
