Reef Renewal Curaçao Foundation

• Formed over a decade ago, the Reef Renewal Curaçao Foundation (RRCF) has outplanted more than 14,000 corals along Curaçao’s southern coastline.
• In order to maintain multiple nursery sites of Staghorn, Elkhorn and Brain corals, RRCF has partnered with leading tourism stakeholders in Curaçao such as LionsDive Beach Resort, Marie Pampoen, Avila Beach Hotel, Kontiki Beach Resort, Marriott Beach Resort, and Cas Abao Beach.
• Responsible dive shops in Curaçao, such as Ocean Encounters, The Dive Bus, Scubaçao, Goby Divers and B Diving and Watersports provide support and logistics to maintain the above noted coral nurseries.
• RRCF is financially supported by individual donors, private sector partners like Maduro and Curiel’s Bank (MCB), and Kooyman plus NGOs such as WWF Dutch Caribbean and Seacoloy.

SECORE International

• Operating from the Carmabi Foundation, SECORE International has been conducting sexual coral restoration and research for decades largely funded by international donors.
