Divers Leap at Papagayo Beach Hotel Curacao
Divers Leap is a steep wall dive, located in front of Papagayo Beach Resort and Hotel between Jan Thiel Bay and Beacon Point, that is perfect for deep dives!
The wall has excellent coral coverage with an abundance of deep-water fish. A hat shaped rock is located on the cliff behind Piedra Sombre (“Stone Hat”), which at one time was used by divers to pinpoint the site.
At Divers Leap you may have the possibility to do a great drift dive towards Jan Thiel Bay, flying while enjoying the reef scene in front of you.
How to dive in at Divers Leap
Nowadays this Curaçao dive site is a boat dive and is no longer accessible from the shore at Papagayo Beach Hotel and Resort. Apart from the steep wall, the shallow plateau is also worth a visit because seahorses are regularly spotted there near the mooring.
Descend along the wall that at places slopes very steeply to a depth of 40 meters. You’ll see large coral formations and beautiful sponges surrounded by a lush marine life including Barracudas, tarpons and sea bass.
