About Bryan Horne
Bryan Horne wasn’t born in Curaçao; he’s a Canadian native born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
He was drawn to Curacao “out of a passion for scuba diving and the underwater world.” Moving from Canada was always going to be a life-changing decision, but in diving, Bryan had found his calling.
Since arriving in the fall of 2006, Bryan (a now retired PADI Master Instructor, Commercial Boat Captain and a Technical Diver) has gained intimate and extensive knowledge of Curaçao’s underwater world – because of his involvement in the numerous scientific research expeditions that include Blue Halo Curaçao (Waitt Foundation), The Smithsonian Institute, Substation Curaçao, Chapman Expeditions, and the Carmabi Foundation – but also because of his dedication to “put Curaçao on the map as a World Class Dive Destination”.
With close ties in the Curacao Diving Industry – particularly with the Best Dive Shops, such as Ocean Encounters, GO WEST Diving and The Dive Bus, that are Curaçao Tourist Board Approved – Bryan founded Dive Curaçao, an unmatched Curacao Diving Destination platform, to distribute high quality content about “why scuba diving in Curaçao should be on everyone’s radar”.

Scuba diving is not just Bryan’s favorite water sport activity, it is his life’s passion! Since discovering the underwater world many years ago and the ability to safely immerse himself in it for an extended periods without holding his breath, he has not looked back.
In fact, he has only dived deeper into the world of scuba diving by leveraging his passion against an obsession to put the Dutch Caribbean Island of Curaçao on the map as a world class dive and vacation destination, by creating Dive Curaçao.
Together, with his trusted Dive Rite backplate/harness setup, Atomic Aquatics regulator set and propelled by his reliably sturdy SCUBAPRO Jet Fins, he has been very fortunate to experience many bucket list diving adventures. From the Galapagos Islands to wreck diving in Canada, his trusted gear has never once let him down!

His passionate approach in providing unique, and often fully customized, Curaçao dive vacation experiences for his clients enables them to completely immerse themselves into the islands beautiful history, culture, language, food and music too while promoting the fact that as a community they are active with marine conservation and sustainable tourism initiatives, such as coral restoration and marine debris removal programs.
