Reef Renewal Foundation Curaçao: The Reef Renewal Foundation Curaçao (RRFC) is the island’s leading coral restoration organization, operating active coral nursery trees and transplantation programs across Curaçao’s reef system in collaboration with CARMABI Foundation and SECORE International. Using sexual and asexual reproduction techniques and assisted evolution research, Reef Renewal grows heat-tolerant coral fragments specifically adapted to survive warming ocean temperatures, then transplants them to degraded reef areas across the island. Since its founding, Reef Renewal Curaçao has transplanted tens of thousands of coral fragments to Curaçao’s reefs.
